Instagram new feature reveals when people ignore you while they are online

Earlier today, Instagram announced the launch of a new feature on the app to let you know when your friends are online to chat.

The feature is a green status dot that displays beside the profile pics of friends who are cruising around Instagram.

Whenever your friends are having fun on the gram, a green dot will appear next to their profile picture, including the users you chat to via direct inbox (DM). However, you have the liberty to control your status in your setting either by hiding status and also turning off the notification that prompts when your friends are active.

Obviously, this updates empowers users to simultaneously experience real-time conversations plus giving you the ability to control your status.
