It's official. Uber will be granted legal in China by November according to Bloomberg reports. The Chinese government is almost finalizing the modus of operation for the likes of Uber and Didi Chuxing - Uber's Chinese’s rival.

Both companies have been operating before now in a stiff complex condition amidst battling for supremacy in the world's largest ride-hailing market.

The Chinese government have been working on amending the regulations before now which supports a ban on the use of private cars for ride-hailing services, thereby limiting the licenses available for drivers. However, the latest announcement is more kind and accepted by the companies involved.

  1. I hope all goes well with the Uber operations there. I've never been to China but I would imagine I might want to have transportation like that available as an option when I go there.

  6. It's so nice to see that Uber is being accepted in more and more places. I know that, for whatever reason, many business men and women do not like to be seen getting out of a taxi. Uber can drop them off in a luxury vehicle. It's also more convenient than calling a cab by phone or waiting outside to hail one.

  7. Wow, I look forward to see the response of Uber in China. It is not easy to be accepted and there's a likelihood of the app being banned anytime too! So just be careful!

  10. I have not ridden an Uber cab before. It seems more convenient and more efficient compared to regular taxis based on testimonials. Good that China is accepting it as well.

  12. Uber and Grab taxis are making the doubtful transport-business into another level but some authorities did not bother to put forward. Really, depends on the country...and lifestyle.
