Microsoft launches Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Android phones

Microsoft has announced the general availability of the new Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for Android phones, after several weeks of test and reviews from preview users on over 1,900 different Android phone models in 83 countries.

During the preview, the company says it heard from thousands of users, and over the last few weeks were able to incorporate a lot of their feedback into the apps.
“We made it easier to connect to other popular third-party storage offerings like Google Drive and Box, as well as many usability adjustments to make it easier to navigate commands within the apps”, says Kirk Koenigsbauer, Microsoft’s corporate vice president for the Office Client Applications and Services team.
Previously, the company had released Office apps for Android tablets, Wednesday's launch completes the Office experience for the millions of Android users around the world.

You can download the Word for AndroidExcel for Android and PowerPoint for Android apps for free from the Google Play store, although you need to be an Office 365 subscriber to use the app.
