Happy Birthday, Twitter!

Joyeaux Anniversaire as Twitter turns 10 today.

Going by it's renowned trademark: "Say what you want to say in 140-Characters or fewer."

March 21 marks ten years since Twitter came to life. Since its arrival in 2006, the platform has arguably changed the way we express ourselves online, keeping our worldly thoughts within its 140 character constraint.

Over the past decade, the free service has become a go-to platform for politicians, entertainers, activists and everyday people and one of the top sources for breaking news. If there's a catastrophe, tons of people flock to Twitter to find out the latest. Many of its 320 million tweeters use the service to swap opinions about sporting or events as they happen.

Over the next five days we’ll be exploring how far the microblogging service has come, the challenges it faces going forward and some of its key moments along the way.

Keep shinning with ease, Twitter!
