Atiku Abubakar Supports Zero Hunger, Ate From The Food He Served IDP Kids, Shares Photos

I feel this is news to share. Supporting the realization of the sustainable development goals is part of my advocacy. So, earlier today, former VP Atiku Abubakar shared photos of himself on Twitter dishing out food to less privileged children. Some of his followers doubted that he ate the same food he served the children. He replied them, confirming he ate the food and shared photos of him eating it.

  1. Well, politicians will do whatever they need to in order to gain favor from their constituents. They will carry babies, embrace farmers, walk on garbage to make people feel they are one of them.

  2. I'm hoping the children get good food on everyday basis.

  3. It doesn't matter to me if he ate the same food, so long as they supply the kids with enough food to meet the nutrition that they need on a daily basis. Hunger is a serious issue, and we should not just give people food for publicity.

  6. This is nice that he is down to earth. It would surely boost the needy when they see him eat the same food as they did.

  7. Sometimes activities like these are being questioned if there's a personality involved. But, the focus are the children. At the end of the day, they need to survive, they need to be fed, they need to be taken cared of. People may have vested interest on why they are doing outreach programs and some of it may not be very pure. But who are we to judge?

  9. It's nice that there are people who still have generous hearts. And I agree with, Claire - who are we to judge? What's important is help is given to those who need it. There are people who have the power and resources to others but do nothing. I'd rather go with those who take action.

  10. People would really like to pick at every single detail. But of course if your job puts you in the public eye, it's a part of it.

  11. Hope the real help reaches the needy. Such help should be not just one time exercise but should be sustainable.

  13. Right now, Philippines is suffering from El NiƱo. Scarcity of food is the problem and now people especially the children crying for food to eat, but many are donating but stop by one politician. I don't know why she hated that someone sending food for them as an act of help. This is not time for Politics..this is the time to HELP without asking in return.

  14. It's a good show of being one with the people, this gesture of his. But I hope he doesn't stop here and does more in the future.

  15. It is great to see a politician put his money where his mouth is (pun intended). Not too many would do that so good for him!
