The Social Media platform is really enormous and deep. I would like to discuss top 5 social media sites. The ranking is on their number of users and monthly unique visitors.
1) Facebook Yes! Its Facebook which tops this list. Started in February 4, 2004, by is on continuously rise in numbers of users. There are 1.28 billion (monthly active, March 2014) and also 900,000,000 unique monthly visitors.
2) Twitter is second top on the list. Founded in year 2006, was visited by 274 million active users in July 2014. Twitter is also very common in all age group including political class.
3) Linkedin: With 300 Million users and 255M monthly unique visitors its on third place in our list. This was founded in 2003 and mainly a business oriented social media networking site.
4) Pinterest is a web and mobile application company that offers a visual discovery, collection, sharing, and storage tool. It was launched in March 2010 and there are 250,000,000 unique visitors every month.
5) Google+ Started on June 28, 2011, with 120 M estimated unique visitors every month, somehow managed to be in top 5.
