For me, It's no doubt the social media platform is a huge turn over for different spheres of human endeavors. Always a step in the right direction! So, Hillary Clinton is bringing you more mason jars, dessert porn and a brighter future for America.
The former secretary of state and current 2016 presidential candidate has expanded her social media presence to include several Pinterest boards that any avid Pinners will want to follow immediately. Not only for board-worthy updates from the Clinton camp, but also, you know, recipes for baked goods.
Hillary had just more than 3,805 followers on her seven boards, which are named as such:
- From the Trail: Photos from the campaign trail and, of course, swag from her website that people can buy. Hill is all business, after all.
- H is For: Inspiring personal branding that is basically all the letter H. Including an adorable cross stitch pattern.
3. What We're Fighting For: Campaign literature for you to share the issues.
4. Women Who Inspire: Ladies, ladies, ladies. Including a quotation pin from Beyoncé. Hillary knows her audience.
5. Memorable Moments: Adorable #TBT photos of Hillary, Bill and their many haircuts.
6. Newest (and Best) Job: Grandmother: All about the newest Clinton, Charlotte.
7. Summer Style: More seasonal swag and Hillary's own, personal cookie recipe so you can bake like a world leader.
Hillary's foray into the pin-worthy platform is a huge step in the upcoming race. So far, no other candidate, Democrat or Republican, has a Pinterest account of their own. However, Rand Paul did create a parody Pinterest account for Hillary in February and was mostly filled with jokes that are pretty much what you might expect from her critics.
Sen. Paul's parody account was shut down by Pinterest as the company's guidelines state that users cannot "impersonate or misrepresent (their) affiliation with any person or entity.”
Hillary's pins are like beautiful mini-poems from your mom, filled with adorable puns and gentle nudges reminding you that election season is here and there is no escaping it. One pin of a Hillary-branded cup reads, "H-2-Oh yeah! These cups will hold all of your favorite summer drinks while repping your favorite presidential candidate."
However, seven boards is just a jumping off point. There are so many other opportunities that Hillary must utilize, because the people will not rest until there is a Hillary Clinton Perfect Pantsuit board.
