Golden Apple: Brikk Unveils a $75,000 Diamond-Encrusted Apple Watch

In case the $349 Apple Watch isn’t luxe enough, consumers can now purchase a 24-karat gold, diamond-encrusted version for a cool $75,000.

Courtesy of Brikk (the same company that cashed in on the $8,000 24-karat gold iPhone 6), an “Omni” version of the yet-to-be-released Apple Watch is available for pre-order that features multiple rows of diamonds around the face, buttons and strap clasp, and is available in 24-karat yellow gold, 18-karat pink gold and 950 platinum. In all, the company will offer 30 elevated Lux Watch models.

The Omni version tops out at $74,995, while the “Standard” version reaches just under $8,000 (it is available in the same metals, but with less diamonds – just 0.5- to 0.6-carats in a “single row”) while a mid-level “Deluxe” version, with 2- to 2.3-carats worth of diamonds, can be yours for around $13,000.

All three versions of the Lux Watch are available in two sizes, 38 mm and 42 mm. A nonrefundable deposit of $10,000 is required to pre-oreder the Omni Lux Watch, while the Standard requires a $2,000 deposit and the Deluxe calls for a $3,000 up-front.

The Lux Watch comes complete with an aluminum Zero Halliburton case and a one-year warranty.

Apple has stated that the entry-level Apple Watch, the Sport version, will start at $349, while analysts predict the 18-karat gold Apple Watch Edition itself could cost at least $4,999. Some reports are speculating Apple could claim $5 billion in revenue on sales of the Edition alone (and that’s on the low end). No wonder Brikk wants a piece of the action.

Brikk’s Lux Watch will ship four to six weeks after the Apple Watch’s official launch.
