Google pushes for quality over quantity. If your post consists of longer content, images, videos, correct spelling, proper grammar, text formatting and links, in google's eyes you are perfect therefore will rank higher in searches.

I am not exactly sure about SEO. I usually leave it to the professionals to do it. But since you mentioned quality and length, isn't your post now an irony??
ReplyDeleteYou need to give it a try. I integrate this tips on my other post and the results are remarkable. As a blogger, you need to be enlighten on how google rank your blog/site. Apply the tips and observe the results.
DeleteSEO is a bit confusing at first, but once you get used to the idea of keywords and the like, you'll realize that it's not that difficult to understand. It completely depends on google though, on how your site is ranked, so make sure you ride their waves so your site is always on top.

ReplyDeleteDo you mean quality over quantity in number of posts/pages you create? I would agree then, the quality of what you put online is far more important than how many posts you publish. But from what know (SEO plugin recommendations for WordPress will show you this), there is also a minimum length for posts which will help you rank higher. Readability is also very important, so subheadings, bolding certain words, and generally breaking texts in smaller rather than larger paragraphs also helps
